Make spirituality normal

Take the specialness out of spiritual phenomena.

Make that which you want to experience and achieve normal.

It is a natural part of growth that you deserve, because at your core you are already a spiritual being.

The balance to healing

There are two sides to healing.

One side is healing the issues that are stuck in our psyches, including stuck trauma, past life issues, ancestral issues and anything spiritual, mental or emotional that is creating blockages and keeping us stuck. By "keeping us stuck" I mean the issue creates a chronic persistant feeling or condition that doesn't improve.

The other side to healing has to do with consciousness. This includes identifying with our True Present Self, that part of us that is peaceful and silent and connected with God. This means recognizing that our thoughts and emotions are not our True Self, that our real self can only be found in silence. This can feel scary to many people because it threatens the ego, which feeds off our emotions, thoughts and attachments. But letting go of our attachments, while painful, can be very freeing.

Healing the emotional, mental, spiritual and physical issues can take many forms. One very effective way to heal many issues is through spiritual shamanic healing, as I have personally found.

Healing the consciousness can be done through spiritual shamanic healing as well, but it does not substitute being mindful and present. Being present to our own thoughts and emotions helps to clear those blockages in our psyches and consciousness. The more we are healed, the more we are able to identify with our True Nature as Pure Consciousness. And the more we do this, the more we become pure in Heart and Spirit in Human form.

This is how we heal. This is how we best serve ourselves and humanity.

Namaste.

Selling the sacred

Those in full integrity of doing sacred healing work would never present it in a way to market themselves or at the expense of others.

I came across people who did this during my healing crisis years ago. They were mostly people who created glossy or expertise personas of themselves online. While I was too disempowered to see the red flags at the time, I can look back now and easily see how these people put their ego ahead of the sacredness of doing healing work.

An example of this is blog articles with the intent of SEO marketing. Another example is coming across people who are defensive, easily offended and put other people down in books and blog articles. Sometimes these negative behaviors are very subtle, but they are there if you look closely.

A person who is truly in touch with God, with the divine grace and sacredness of doing God's healing work, would never abuse this gift. Indeed, it is impossible for the tender energy of God's Divine Love and Light to exist in those places where ego plants itself.

Don't Take Your Suffering Personally

Some of us deal with a heavy pain body through out our lives.

Awakening means more release of heavy energies as we transform to light.

Some people have heavier pain bodies than others. Some people in the awakening process seem to swim through life while others struggle more.

There is nothing wrong with you. There is a reason behind everything you are feeling, you just don't realize the reason for it. It can be physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. It can be from childhood trauma or from past lives. It can be heaviness carried from past generations. It can be from diet or physical imbalance in the body. If you are especially sensitive then you could be picking up heavier energies and not realizing it. There are a whole host of reasons. These are all the reasons for the pain bodies and it has nothing to do with who you are.

Pain bodies can cause depression, anxiety, fear, tiredness, lack of motivation, confusion.

Some things to help the pain body include spiritual healing, self inquiry practices (such as Eckhart Tolle), energy practices such as tao or pranic healing or qigong.

Please, stay empowered. Do what you need to feel better and move through the pain.

Dealing with Intense thoughts and emotions to stay aware in the now

The goal is to stay aware in the now without the mind being consumed by emotional issues and meandering thoughts. Then we can be aware, in the present and conscious of our mind. This makes it easier to for us to step out of suffering.

To take things a step further, we can have an attitude of sincerity and personal Truth. In other words, we can become sincere in who we truly are. Sincerity makes it easier to manifest what is truly in our best interest in this world. It is makes life more fulfilling even if we aren't trying to manifest anything.

First of all, we must have self awareness. Are you aware of when you are caught up in emotional thoughts and feelings? Are you aware enough to catch when you are suffering?

Secondly, we must be in touch with how we feel in the body. Whenever we are suffering or emotional, there is a place in the body that feels it most.

When you catch yourself suffering, feel where the suffering is felt in the body. Is it in the heart? The solar plexus? Somewhere else?

You can also have an attitude of curiosity toward the emotion, as opposed to feeling bad about it. Do not take it personally! There is a reason the emotion is there and it is not because there is anything wrong with you or because you did anything wrong.

Next separate the feeling from your thoughts. Focus on the body and take long, deep, slow breaths in a way that feels comfortable to you. Focus on how the breath makes your body feel. Breath down into the stomach so that it expands with each inhale. Feel how each breath helps to make the place in your body that is suffering feel more relaxed. The goal of this exercise is to calm the body enough that the mind becomes free from it.

It is okay if there is still suffering in the body. The goal was just to help ease the suffering in cases of intense and overwhelming feelings.

Next, you can do the Inner Smile meditation as taught by Mantak Chia. This helps the body to become happy and lighter. It is very useful and can be found on YouTube.

To bring in even more light, get into a state of prayer and have gratitude for God (or whatever you choose to call the Divine.) Say, "I love you God, thank you God." And think of unconditional Love and Light.

Bring in self love. Give yourself a big hug or look into your eyes in the mirror and say, "I love myself. I forgive myself."

Have gratitude for the things in your life.

Put your consciousness in the present moment.

This is a practice that I try to implement to keep myself centered and to have better wellbeing. I hope it helps for you.

When spiritual teachings harm

Sometimes bad feelings aren't spiritual, emotional or mental problems.

That's because some feelings such as loneliness, lethargy and darkness can stem from physical issues.

Yes, health issues like toxins, hormone imbalances and thyroid disorders. Or from having an overly sensitive nervous system that other people can't understand. (Look up the vagus nerve for one thing...)

No amount of non-resistance, meditation, acceptance or doing "the work" will make things better. In fact, it could make things worse.

I personally recommend Medical Medium for healing the root cause of health issues in addition to any needed medical treatment. I also recommend deep breathing exercises and learning body energy practices like prana healing, tao healing and qigong.

Please be empowered and take care of your health!

Healers and Spirit Guides

About four years ago a spiritual worker caused me a tremendous amount of emotional pain. I was going through a spiritual emergency at the time. One of the services she provided was shamanic healing, using spirit guides as part of her work.

Now that I look back, I see the red flags. This person had written books, taught classes, had been interviewed on several podcasts and had a pretty good following online. Yet there was something intimidating about her that I couldn't put my finger on. This person talked a lot about being compassionate, but realistically she wasn't fully in her heart. I should have listened to my gut instinct. But she seemed so successful and full of wisdom that I assumed my feelings were wrong. Disempowered by the turmoil in my life and my own self doubt, I was blind to my intuition.

I believe this person felt they were doing their best at the time. But there was a lack of mindful, compassionate expression on her part. I was already emotionally distraught when I contacted her, and her reaction left me stunned and bewildered. This person misunderstood what I had said, and thinking that I was having an attitude, she lashed out at me.

I have no ill-will against this person. I've long forgiven her. But I wonder about the level of healing she is actually able to provide, knowing that she is probably still doing this for people.

I believe any healing is better than no healing when someone is truly suffering, but I question the integrity of her guides.

If a person says they work with spirit guides, I personally would look very closely at the integrity of that person. Like attracts like. It makes sense that spirit guides will be a vibrational match to the people who work with them.

How does that person behave when nobody is watching, let alone when with people they are trying to help? Because it doesn't seem that spirit guides of the highest level would be able to work with someone who has a lot of ego, lacks compassion or hasn't healed those dark areas still hidden within their psyches.

Nobody is perfect, of course. Some people are born with a lot of spiritual power and have lived a life of humility and integrity. But for those who haven't, it can takes years of healing and intense personal work to achieve a level integrity, faith, humility and spiritual power that the highest level spirit guides can work with.

As my teacher says, "Are you teachable?" I've learned that this is what spirit guides of the highest level are looking for. If there is a lot of ego in the way, then a person will not be teachable. And if someone is not teachable, the healing work will be compromised.

I realize saying that spirit guides should be of the "highest level" may sound spiritually snobbish to some people.  I don't claim to know the best or to be the best when it comes to spiritual healing. However, spiritual beings come in a variety of flavors and spiritual strength just like people do. The spiritual world is not just all love and light where any spirit can make anything instantly happen. There are degrees of lightness and darkness with shades of grey in between.

A spiritual entity may have good intentions to be of service and offer to be a guide. But it might not be at a high enough frequency to do heavy spiritual work. This is akin to someone who dreams of competing in the Olympics when they have only been training at the gym for a few weeks.

I have direct experience of going to several different types of healers during a spiritual emergency. This was a serious situation that was destroying my life. These healers and modalities may have helped people going through less severe situations, but they were unfortunately were not enough to help me. So, I'm not saying that other healers are bad or completely ineffective. But there are definitely different degrees of spiritual strength, faith and effectiveness.

So here are just some things to think about. What traits do spirit guides of the highest level look for in healers? What does it mean for a person to be humble and to have integrity? How would a person like this behave?

This goes for any healing modality and for all healers. We are in a time when many people are being called to be more spiritual and do healing work. However, it is so important that people actually be ready on all levels to do this. It is important that the work they do is in integrity of God's Will.

It's possible for people to achieve this, but it's important to find a really good teacher that is both spiritually powerful and has tremendous faith in God.

I will point out that the same healer that caused me a lot of emotional pain during my spiritual emergency also mocked my teacher and the healers he trained for believing they had a strong connection to God. But in the end, they were the ones who were able to help me.

An Entire Universe's Worth of Celebration Blasting Off into Infinite Possibilities

Many people have a big misunderstanding about God. If they hear someone say the word God they might shrink away. Perhaps even feel some disgust.

I understand this. I was this way myself for many years even though I considered myself to be very spiritual.

Why do people do this?

It's because there is darkness within them that doesn't resonate with the Light of God. Even saying "Light of God" might sound preachy or religious, but it's just a term I'm using right now to convey something magnificent and incredible.

I could instead say "the best thing that could ever exist in the entire history of the universe" or "an entire universe's worth of celebration blasting off into infinite possibilities." The point is to explain something so awesome and amazing that people would drop everything to pursue this incredibleness.

But instead, they misunderstand. They hear "God" or "Light" and come up with their own interpretation of what this must mean, but can't truly perceive the meaning because there is too much darkness clouding their understanding of things.

So what if instead of saying Light of God I said the light within you that  results in inner peace, love and harmony with yourself, others and life. What if I took this even further and said this light is going to be so exciting and life-changing you won't believe the amazing experiences, relationships and fun you will have!

What if I just called it Light. And when this Light is allowed to shine through you there is no more fighting with yourself, with others and with life? Allow yourself to imagine this possibility for a moment.

Now realize this this possibility can be real.

Know at this moment, that this possibility is a reality for the entire world. But it can only happen if we allow it to happen for ourselves individually first. This how peace on earth happens.

Dark doesn't feel good around Light, and Light doesn't feel good around Dark. Just because we feel annoyed or weird about something, it doesn't mean that it is bad. It might mean we just aren't ready to accept how good it is.

Sometimes there are preconceived notions or connotations associated with the word "God" due to childhood experiences, societal conditioning or even past lives. Some might associated God or Christianity or other religious paths as negative. We might think that Christians are self righteous, that Muslims are extremists, that the word God is cheesy, that Jesus was a fake or that devoting one's life to a spiritual path is unhealthy. But this is all due to a huge misunderstanding.

How can you truly know something if you can't truly see?

For many, God as omnipotent unconditional love and light is too hard to believe. It can seem too good to be true, maybe even impossible, that unconditional, eternal love can even exist.

This is because negativity within them is filtering their perception of reality and causing these beliefs. What does this negativity consist of? Among other things it is trauma, negative attitudes, doubt, skepticism, cynicism, anger, fear, certain belief systems about the world, lack of self love, lack of forgiveness for self and others.

The good news is that we can be healed of this negativity and darkness. And then we will have a true understanding and perception of things. A true perception of ourselves as infinite creations.

There is nothing we need to give up, unless we choose to. We don't need to change. We don't need to become religious or spiritual. When we heal, we naturally drop those things no longer serving us.

All we really need to do is have an understanding of ourselves as spirit, to love ourselves and to forgive ourselves. This is the true path to finding the Light of God within.
